Rotate a Video using QuickTime Pro

It’s easy to take videos on a digital camera in portrait view just like photos. Trouble is, when you come to play them, they are shown in landscape view. You can either rotate your head, rotate your TV or with QuickTime Pro, rotate the video. The game is knowing how. QuickTime wants to keep it a secret but here’s a spoiler. Warning: the following steps are a full walk-thru and show you how to do it.
01. Open the video in QuickTime Pro edition
This was done using QuickTime Pro 7.
02. Click Window > Show Movie Properties
03. Click on the Video Track > Visual Settings
Selecting the Video Track is the Key Step to success.
04. Click on the appropriate Rotate button
05. Click File > Export…
06. The rotated and exported movie
