This shows how to quickly use Setup Host to allow the Publish of *Changes* of a site to a local folder, such as the Sites folder in the users’ Home folder, rather than use Site > Export Site… . It does not involve setting up the local computer as a localhost server but this method does allows the use of Publish for changed files only rather than Export every single file as new each time.
The advantage of this is when using an external FTP Client to Synchronize changes between the local computer and the Web Hosted Site only the updated files are seen as new not every single file in the site. When you use Export Site, every file is give the current time and so all the files appear new to the FTP Client for syncronization.
